Okay, my young historians, here is your assignment tonight:
In class you completed that history survey. We really didn't get to the back side of it. On the back side, it asked you a couple of questions. One was about how your family came to this country. Another was about any other stories about your family members.
So, here is the assignment - ASK someone at home tonight or make a phone call. Find out something about your family. When I was your age, I thought my family was pretty boring. Later, I learned how wrong I was.
You never know what stories are out there unless you ask! So, learn a story about your family that you may not know already. It can be about how you came to this country or something else.
BE PREPARED to share your story tomorrow!
