- Tomorrow is Moneyfest! Bring some foreign money to share and I will give you some extra credit. We are looking at foreign exchange rates tomorrow.
- The Student Rubric. We use the rubric as a way to identify areas where one can improve and as a way to measure growth. You will need to print a copy of the rubric and then follow the directions below. The rubric is on Edmodo. Here is what you need to do:
- First, most of you are in the Developing category on the rubric. Understand that this is totally okay. You just started 7th grade. There are many areas where we can improve on things.
- Find a red marker and a blue marker.
- Now, read through each of the domains: Prepares for class, Listens to and follows directions, Participates actively and positively in class, and Develops successful learning habits beyond the classroom.
- Using the red marker, circle areas where you think you are improving. For Example, if you think you are coming to class on time usually with everything you need - you would circle that sentence under Proficient. Do this for each of the domains.
- Using the blue marker, circle areas where you think you need to improve. For Example, if you think you are exhibiting little effort outside of class and want to improve then you would circle that sentence in the Unsuccessful column. Do this for all the domains.
- Yes, this may take some time. But that is okay, it is important!
- OH - ONE MORE IMPORTANT THING - where it says "student notebook" think of this as your dropbox folder - your online notebook, get it? We have to update the rubric.
