The Paper Airplane Challenge you did today in class is a good way to introduce students to the Free Market economic system.  Let's see why...

First, you will need to go to Edmodo. There is a document waiting for you there titled The Characteristics of the Free Market economic system.

DIRECTIONS FOR TONIGHT'S HOMEWORK:
1. Take a moment to remember the Paper Airplane Challenge activity. Try to think what happened.
2. Now, for each characteristic of a Free Market economy there is an explanation. I have defined it for you already.
3. Now, again, think about how that was shown/demonstrated in Paper Airplane Challenge...Just list examples.
4. For Example - Competition is a characteristic of the Free Market system. Were you competing? How about the benefits of competition? Did you see a variety of planes? What about quality? Did some planes look pretty good? Fly better than others?  There was nothing with prices.  Okay, I think you understand what to do now on that sheet.
