To Complete this Assignment:

 

• FIRST, grab a black sharpie pen (ultra fine point) or something like this - it works best!
• Use the History book - pages A6 through A9 in the back of the book
• Use the map you received in class today for both the political and physical geography!
• You need some colored pencils!

Political Geography (using the political map)

 

•Please label and identify the states of California, Hawaii, Alaska, Oregon, Washington. Please label their capital cities as well. Please shade/color these states green on map.

 The Mojave Desert - color/shade tan or light brown (make little dots ...... for the desert area)

 Sierra Nevada Mountains - color/shade brown
 Cascade Range - color/shade brown
 Coastal Range - color/shade brown (make sure you get it all - length of the west coast) 

 Columbia and Snake rivers - color/shade blue (draw a line in blue for the rivers)

 The Pacific Ocean - color/shade blue

 Bering Strait - color/shade blue

 Bering Sea - color/shade blue

 Puget (pronounced peeewww-jet)Sound - color/shade blue

 Yukon River - color/shade blue

 Identify Mt. McKinley (circe a mountain in the Alaska range)

 Identify the Aleutian Islands

 Brooks Range - color/shade brown
 Alaskan Range - color/shade brown
