- Political Cartoon - create a political cartoon about either Child Labor or Workplace Safety. These were the two examples we had in class about government "Watching Over Working Conditions". Let the creative juices flow - create a cartoon that make a point/statement about one of these two examples. Please don't copy any of the examples we had in class. c. Not in the reading – BUT, why do you think these services are provided by government and not by private businesses?
d. Probably the most important role the government has in the economy is as a REGULATOR. What does this word mean?
e. Jot down a list of different ways the government regulates activity in our economy.
f. Explain the difference between a public facility or service and the government providing for someone’s well being. g. The government ensures competition in the market place. How does competition benefit us? (state three examples)
