a. Johnny Tremain people - due by Friday is the first installment of reading - pages 1-75.
b. Washington's letter to his mother (titled Braddock's Defeat) - think of what your answers would be for these questions: Washington is very respectful of his mother (are you?), what examples indicate this in the letter? The legend of the man really starts at this time - how close was he to death? (cite examples) How does Washington feel about the "professional" British soldiers? (cite examples)

c. Please read pages 146-150 in your history book. Read carefully, okay? Here are the questions you need to know:
